Great time in Bend
My family had a great time in Bend staying at the lodge. It is well equipped and very sweet in style with a northwest cabin feel. It is comfortable and my two kids 2 and 6 were happy to come home after every busy day. The hosts give so much detailed information about where things area and great guide information about fun things to do in Bend. Highly recommend!

Awesome town home
We loved this home! Our family was attending the first annual Oregon Lacrosse Classic and the home provided us a very comfortable oasis away from the tournament. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was provided and in excellent condition. We can't wait to come back next year!

Immaculate!
When arriving the house was immaculate, all amenities were there and easily identifiable. If we return to Bend, will definately stay in this house. Also, the contact we had with the owners was exceptional.

Great House for Spring Break with the Kids!
This home is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Everything about it made us feel right at home. It is well furnished with a great layout. The location was a perfect home base for all of our spring break activities of hiking, golfing, shopping, movie going and dining. Richard and Anne made our trip a breeze. They've thought of everything. From great communication prior to our arrival to the extra stock of amenities in the house. Everything was awesome! We'd love to come back for another stay.

Excellent accommodations
Listing was dead on for location, appearance and amenities. It was very clean and most of all comfortable. It has a homey feeling. The kitchen was spacious for cooking. We will definitely be returning. We went to the park by the Old Mill which was very nice. Had an very nice dinner at Worthy Brewing Company, and an excellent brunch at McKay Cottage Restaurant.
Well maintained, excellent location, and communicative owners
Location is perfect if you like an in town experience with easy walking access to restaurants, shops, breweries, while still an easy drive away from the mountains and skiing. All three bedrooms are sizable, and there are multiple options for common space in the great room around the gas fireplace, or reading in/out door sitting areas. Especially nice to have a large garage, making easy load/unload for the activities of the day.
Winter Trip
Everything was as described. The unit was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped as we tend to dine in. The location was close to restaurants and breweries. However we did not walk to any so do not know how long of walk to any sites. If you are traveling with more than 6 there will be too much infringing on the common areas due to the great room type of floor plan. Very nice unit.

Beautiful home. Excellent location.
Located very close to Old Mill and just a few min from downtown - a quick bike ride to everywhere. In the summer, it's the perfect location if you like being near the river because you're practically on it. This home is beautiful and very comfortable for 3 couples. With an open floor plan, it was perfect for hanging out with friends and family. This home was very comfortable! Also has a 2-car garage so it was easy to store our toys while we were there. They also have canoes, snowshoes and other sports equipment for renters to use. I would definitely stay here again. This place was perfect!

Absolutely Perfect
This house is just as nice as it looks in the photos, if not nicer. Like other reviewers have stated, the owners have thought of every little detail to make their guests feel pampered and relaxed. They even checked in before we arrived to see if we needed anything.
We were torn between just enjoying the house and actually leaving to go see Bend and the surrounding area. It's very walkable to the Old Mill district, though the path wasn't as obvious as I was expecting. I would check Google Maps before venturing out. We went down to Anthony's and had oysters and wine at sunset our first night there. It was perfect.
My only advice would be to stay longer than a couple of nights. It's cliche, but we really didn't want to leave.

Leadman 250 participant and his athletic supporters
We were in town for the Leadman 250 event and found the Salmon Lodge a perfect location to get to each transition point to see our runner. We loved how close it was to the Old Mill District and shopping. We also did the Ale Trail and loved that many of the breweries were close by. Anne and Richard left nothing out in there preparation for guest at their property. My husbands only complaint was that I didn't book us an extra night to get out on the river. They really have left nothing out. Next time I hope we have the time to sit out on the balcony and enjoy some wine with our friends. There were 5 adults in our group and we had more than enough space for each. Our next trip to Bend will definitely include a call to Anne and Richard at the Salmon Lodge!

Terrific house
This house was just perfect. There were only 4 of us (2 couples) so we had more than enough space. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The two other bedrooms had full bathrooms just across the hall. One of them was located on the ground floor. The master and 2nd bedroom were upstairs. The kitchen is very large and well equipped and the seating at the table and counter bar could fit plenty of people. The living room was very comfortable and cozy and I wish it had been cool enough to use the fireplace. We appreciated that there was salt and pepper and assorted left over spices as well as condiments such as ketchup/mustard. I realize that the owner doesn't supply these but it's nice that they were left behind for subsequent guests. The entire house was very clean and well cared for and everything looked fairly new and in good condition. The canoes looked like they'd be fun to use but we had no way to transport them to water. Richard was great to work with and responded very quickly to all our queries. I would definitely recommend this location and would love to return. Bed is a great town for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. We hiked multiple trails, visited the High Desert Museum, Newberry National Volcanic Monument (make sure to check out the Big Obsidian Flow), walked the Lava River Cave, visited Todd Lake and Sparks Lake and several other trails and rented Kayaks to paddle around on the river down town. All of which I'd recommend. We purchased the Bend, Overall 99 hikes book in town. It was very useful to help narrow down where we wanted to go. We ate at Spork, Zydeco and 900Wall and had dessert at Bend d'Vine. All of them had great food (and offered gluten free options). It was all great fun and I'd love to return. You can walk to downtown from the house as long as you don't mind walking down (and up) quite a few stairs.

Great stay in Bend!
We had a few couples meet up in Bend for a friend's wedding. It was a wonderful weekend and the Salmon Lodge was the perfect place for our adventures. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated, walking distance or a quick drive to many local attractions and had plenty of space for all of us. The owners were easy to coordinate with prior to our arrival. Would definitely recommend the Salmon Lodge for your next Bend, Oregon adventure!

Great place in beautiful Bend!
My family and I travelled to Bend for a wedding in February. The Salmon Lodge was clean and beautifully designed in the rustic mountain lodge style typical of Bend. The layout was open concept and the right size and number of bedrooms/bathrooms for our party (3 couples). This is a great location near Old Mill and the highway, and not too far from all of our favorite Bend restaurants! We had a great stay and recommend the Salmon Lodge to anyone!

A Weekend in Bend with Beer
We used the house as a staging area for the Bend Ale Trail. It was in a great location (close to downtown). The house was very modern and nicely furnished. It was also fairly spacious and comfortable for everyone. Having three sets of bedrooms with their own bathrooms and shower made it very convenient. We really enjoyed ourselves, in large part thanks to the house! The owners were very warm in correspondence, and easy and quick to refund the deposit.

Nice home at a great location in Bend!
We enjoyed our stay in Bend at this home! Convenient location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the movie theater in the Old Mill District. The condo is well stocked, and very comfortable. It was a great home base for skiing, hiking and exploring Bend. This 3 bedroom/3 bath condo is nicely furnished and it has all the comforts and conveniences of home (kitchen needs, movies, books, internet connection). We hope to return the next time we visit Bend.

Best vacation home for us!
Fabulous. Very spacious and modern kitchen and bathrooms, walk in closet, decor was cozy, quiet building and great insulation, wonderful gas fireplace, mattresses and bedding were extremely luxurious, washer dryer room made it possible to keep up with chores, side yard was perfect for dog, garage was organized and huge and made it easy to load for skiing, neighborhood was so so close to OLD MILL DISTRICT for days when mom stayed home, internet access and PC was super to have, TV was really big and we watched several movies on the DVD player, there were MANY GAMES and DVDs provided which was lovely. The path to the house was always clean of ice and snow! In the end of our vacation I did not want to go home at all. We were sad to leave. Thank You so much for having us! Hopefully we'll be back!

High Quality Rental
The unit owners have gone first class furnishing and supplying this unit. Sometimes when you rent you find since it's a rental they cut corners,,,,, not here. The furniture is very nice and comfortable, beds are very comfortable, the main living room has a great flat screen TV and another in the Master Bedroom. You will also find a complete outfitted kitchen with everything, wine glasses, bowls, wine openers, everything. For the group you are with they have a full selection of DVD's, games. We brought two small dogs and there is a nice fenced grass area, and a great Barbecue on the ground floor. Was nice to feel like I was in a nice vacation home like it was my home.

This is a well-equipped, warm and comfortable place to stay with lots of perks!
We had a great time at the Salmon Lodge, we stayed 3 nights and played a lot. We were tired at the end of every day and happy to come home to such a comfortable place to stay. The outside of the house looks like a typical townhouse, but the inside is a quaint northwest cabin. The hosts have thought of everything and give a lot of information about fun things to do around Bend that were very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed in this lovely home for 2 nights while we explored Bend and Smith Rock area. The home is tastefully decorated and has all the comforts of home. It's immaculately kept and very conveniently located. We loved the proximity to the Old Mill district. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to staying here in the future.

We enjoyed March Madness at Salmon Lodge

Relaxing
This is a very comfortable home in near the Old Mill district in Bend. The furnishings and appliances are relatively new and high quality. The home itself features and open floor plan and three bedrooms. The bed upstairs in the master is exceptionally comfortable. Plentiful towels, warm blankets, clean linens (in great condition) and plentiful cooking tools are all there. Frankly, I just would be happy living right there as my forever home. But it was treat and an experience I hope to enjoy again and again.

Had an amazing time in Bend!
Our group was 2 couples and 1 single adult. The Salmon Lodge was located a 5 minute walk above the Old Mill District and on a very quiet street. The owners left out nothing in the planning of guest in their home! From the time we walked into the Salmon Lodge we were amazed at how much it felt like home. We were in town for my husband to compete in the Leadman 250 and I would highly recommend anyone participating in the event to stay here in the future. We were able to see him at every transition and even managed to get in some beer tastings in between.

Right On
This is one of the nicest vacation rentals we've used. It was comfortable, attractive and in a great location. We loved walking down to the Old Mill District and along the river. Although the master and another bedroom are upstairs, which could be problematical for some, it wasn't an issue for us. Bend is a great place to visit because there is so much to do and the restaurants and pubs are top notch. We will be returning soon.

Beautiful townhome in quiet neighborhood!
We had the opportunity to stay in Bend and reside at the Salmon Lodge for five weeks this summer. The townhouse is well equipped with everything you need for a stay, is a few blocks from shopping, the Descutes River, and great restaurants. The sunsets from the second floor patio are quite amazing! This is a great place for two couples and a pet or two. The layout of the home ensures privacy for two families for sleeping and a small gated, grassy area for the dogs right out the kitchen door. Richard Penny was a pleasure to work with. We felt very comfortable in our home away from home!

Perfect Home
We could not have chosen a more perfect home-away-from-home for our girlfriend weekend getaway. We went to see Ringo and his All-Starr Band at the Les Schwab Amphitheater, and the walk was just right. One person in our group was a little nervous about the "bluff" in Bluff Trail, but we found it to be a very, very easy walk, just a gentle slope down a wide path freshly covered with cedar chips. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. We also walked to the Old Mill Shopping District, mainly for meals out, and to Riverbend Park for the Deschutes River Float and the Balloons Over Bend festival. Recommended outings: Ranch Records (831 NW Wall) for music lovers/collectors; nearby Jackson's Corner (845 NW Delaware) for breakfast or lunch; Victoria Cafe (1404 NW Galveston Ave) for a hearty brunch (generous portions!); and Anthony's in the Old Mill for dinner (get there by 6 pm for a value-packed meal). Oh, and be sure to set aside a little time for just relaxing at the house. We didn't utilize the outdoor seating - on the deck and in the backyard - nearly as much as we should have! We'll definitely keep this place in mind for any future trips to Bend.
Lovely Visit
We had a lovely visit at the Pennys’ house in Bend! Great location, and beautiful home. The beds were especially comfortable. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.
Second Stay
This was our second time at the SW Taft condo and we absolutely loved it! We really enjoy being walking distance to Old Mill and a short drive from downtown. It's a great escape and we look forward to our next time there!

We were thrilled with our stay at Salmon House Lodge! The appointments are beautiful, and the location convenient for all our activities in and around Bend! It was so nice to have the basics provided too! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Richard and Anne made our trip a breeze. Great location with access to downtown Bend and nearby shopping and restaurants, and a short trip to My. Bachelor. Would recommend Salmon Lodge!

Salmon Lodge was perfection! Tons of room and perfect for our family get together! Great location able to walk to where we wanted to go! We highly recommend it and look forward to our next trip!
This was a wonderful fit for our family and extended family to stay while in Bend. Clean, spacious and great location.
Thanks Anne and Richard
Salmon Lodge is a lovely space on the bluff above the Old Mill District. Fun kitchen, easy access to the Deschutes River Trail (fab for running, walking). Lotsa space. Thanks Anne & Richard!
